Fleur du Soleil’s Argilla Espansa balls are obtained using a high temperature firing process, which makes them chemically neutral, sterilised and free of microorganisms, which could be harmful for the health of plants. Due to their structure and colour, the clay balls look good and are ideal to decorate indoor and outdoor plants in pots, planters, edgings and flowerbeds. Their mulching action controls weed growth by reducing the evaporation of water from the soil. When spread over the bottom of pots and planters or mixed with the growing medium, expanded clay improves soil structure, increasing its drainage and aeration.
